After reports a couple of weeks ago that Apple was canceling the mythical and oft rumored launch of the white iPhone, BGR reports today that Apple is indeed going ahead with the launch in “the next few weeks”. It will supposedly be available in both Verizon and AT&T flavors, and will just be a white version of the current iPhone 4 as expected. BGR writes:
The new version will be available from AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless by the end of April, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the plans aren’t public. The release was stalled as Apple resolved manufacturing challenges, including paint that peeled under heat, one person said.
Adding a white model to the black-only lineup may help spur demand before Apple can release the next generation of its top- selling product.
So does anyone really care anymore? Why would someone go and by an iPhone 4 now, when we will see an iPhone 5 sometime this year? Talk Back in the comments!
