So I have been looking at the pros and cons of these two phones since January.. At first I was dead set on the Thunderbolt, but after it came out its reviews were questionable.. I’m not gonna lie I use my cell phone allll the time. I used it for everything! So 3 hrs of battery life isn’t going to cut it.
On the other hand, it seems to have a lot more features than the iPhone (free navigation, more free apps, larger screen, etc). The i4 has lots of apps obviously, but there are more free apps on the android market. Also the TB has flashplayer and I like to surf the web.
It is such a hard decision because both phones have it all! To me, the iPhone 4 is practical but the HTC Thunderbolt is just plain cool. I am eligible for an upgrade in June and have been debating this since I heard both were coming out in January.. I have the Blackberry Tour now which sucks, so basically anything is better. The fact that the i4 has itunes isn’t that important to me because I already have the lastest ipod touch. I’m also nervous about touch screen phones, so which one is better for texting? The battery for the TB would be a big problem.. I don’t want to have to buy a 10lb extended battery for 50 bucks, that’s just dumb. And I don’t want to have to have 3 extra charged batteries on me every day in case my phone dies. I will be a college student soon so won’t always be near a charger or car charger.
Anyway, I am trying to decide between the Verizon iPhone 4 and the HTC Thunderbolt.. I’ve read pretty much every blog and watched every youtube video and hands-on there is to see, but still can’t decide.. If you have any insight or know something that I don’t, please let me know!
Also, I’m not sure exactly what the data plan rates are for Verizon smartphones.. 4G LTE just became available in my city, which is pretty awesome, but how much is that going to cost if I get the TB? What are the different smartphone costs (data plans) for the i4 and TB?
Open Question: Verizon iPhone 4 or HTC Thunderbolt?
